I see my role as a physician to care for people in their time of need, to help them understand the process of the disease that may affect them, and to help them lead a better life with the condition they have.
Dr. Joseph Bresnahan is a licensed physician and surgeon, board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. A 1987 graduate of Nebraska’s Creighton University School of Medicine, he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Loyola University of Chicago and served as a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Northwestern University Medical School.
Dr. Bresnahan is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Gastroenterological Association. He received first place honors for clinical research from the Chicago Gastroenterological Society, and was also a finalist for Creighton’s Aesculapian Award, presented for service and compassion toward patient and peers. He has held multiple leadership positions at MacNeal Hospital including being on MacNeal Board and PLC.
